However, Ortiz confirmed that "I can't put much weight on it, but it's better than it was last night or this morning." His description is understandable after fouling a ball off his right foot Sunday, which followed getting hit by a pitch on the left elbow Saturday. Despite his banged-up status, consider him day-to-day until further notice.
