Orioles signed RHP Joel Pineiro to a minor league contract; assigned him to Triple-A Norfolk. Pineiro failed to crack the Phillies' Opening Day roster this spring after agreeing to a minor league deal in mid-January. The right-hander should have a little more luck in Baltimore, where the pitching depth is ever-shaky.
