Orioles released RHP Joel Pineiro. Pineiro signed a minor league contract with the Orioles this year, but he never threw a pitch with the organization, as he was still in rehab mode from shoulder surgery last July. The 34-year-old is unlikely to resurface in the majors in the near future.
