Orioles purchased the contract of INF Jonathan Schoop from Double-A Bowie. An expected move, as Schoop is widely-considered the Orioles' top position prospect. The 21-year-old batted .245/.324/.386 with 14 home runs, 56 RBI, five stolen bases and a .710 OPS in 124 games this season at the Double-A level. The Orioles have Brian Roberts and Alexi Casilla in place to play second base next season, but it wouldn't be surprising if Schoop contributes at some point.
