The Baltimore Orioles placed right-hander Tyler Wells (side) on the 15-day injured list with left side discomfort on Thursday and recalled right-handers Beau Sulser and Logan Gillaspie from Triple-A Norfolk in corresponding moves. Left-hander Nick Vespi was optioned to Norfolk. Wells left his start on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays in the fifth inning and will now be forced to miss the next two weeks.
