Orioles optioned RHP Kevin Gausman to Triple-A Norfolk. Gausman gets the boot despite a pretty good performance against the Red Sox in which he allowed two runs (coming on back-to-back solo homers) and struck out five in 5 1/3 innings. Overall, though, he did have a 7.66 ERA, and the Orioles need a fresh arm after playing 13 innings tonight. The Orioles will probably bring up a spot starter to pitch next Tuesday, and they should have Wei-Yin Chen back not long after that.
