Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Tuesday that Alfredo Simon (hamstring) will start throwing soon. Simon was placed on the disabled list last week with a right hamstring strain. Showalter believes he could be ready to rejoin the Orioles as soon as he's eligible next Tuesday. It's not clear if he'll go out on a minor league rehab assignment.
