Orioles manager Buck Showalter said that he removed Manny Machado (groin) from Thursday's game as a precaution. Showalter thinks Machado might have tweaked his right groin on a slide and he didn't like the third baseman's running and body language. He'll be re-evaluated Friday, but it doesn't sound like the third baseman is in any danger of landing on the disabled list. Consider him day-to-day for the time being.
