Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Brian Roberts (concussion) will not need a long rehab assignment if he makes it back this season. "The thought that he would have to go out and play two or three weeks more of games, if he's going to do that somewhere else, he can do that here," Showalter said. The manager added that he's still expected Roberts to return at some point. "I'm feeling real positive about it," Showalter said. "I hope he can string together some good days and the doctors release him. I'm looking at it as something that's going to happen. I'm not looking at it any other way."
