Orioles manager Buck Showalter has indicated that Nick Johnson will likely make the Opening Day roster if he's healthy. "If Nick is healthy and on the field, I think he's a contributor," Showalter said. "I think he brings some things that I'd really like to have our guys feed off of with some of the on-base percentage and deep counts." The O's brought Johnson in on a minor league deal last month, and if he does manage to stay healthy, he could steal some at-bats away from Chris Davis at first base. He batted just .201/.316/.332 with six home runs and 13 RBI over 216 plate appearances with the Indians' Triple-A affiliate last season but boasts a .401 career OBP.
