Garza was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Saturday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Garza did not allow a run over his last 9.0 innings with the Rays, but with him likely down for a day or two after tossing 2.2 innings in Friday's game, he was sent out to open up a roster spot for fellow pitcher Shane Baz. Garza figures to be back with the big club at some point this summer.
