Machin was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Machin joined the major-league roster on Saturday when Elvis Andrus landed on the paternity list. He went 2-for-7 with a walk and three strikeouts in his three days with the team and will now head back to the minors upon Andrus' return.
