Newberry made a relief appearance in Sunday's series finale against Minnesota and allowed three runs on three hits and no walks while striking out one in one inning. He'll now head to Triple-A Omaha as part of a shuffle to make room for left-hander Daniel Lynch, whose contract was selected in a corresponding move.
