O'Neill is slashing .183/.254/.330 over 109 at-bats at Triple-A Tacoma.
EDGE Analysis
The highly-regarding prospect has hit the skids for the first time in his exposure to Triple-A pitching, with each component of his slash line currently a career low. O'Neill has compiled nine extra-base hits (five doubles, one triple three home runs) and four stolen bases, but has otherwise struggled while seeing his strikeout rate jump over three percent to 29.4. The 21-year-old has also been a tad on the unlucky side, as his BABIP is down over 120 points over last season to a subpar .243. Given his skill set and the fact that he's never hit below .247 at any minor-league stop, he's likely to make strides as the season unfolds and he further acclimates to his current level of competition.
