McKinstry hasn't done much since coming to the Cubs at the deadline, hitting .201/.270/.342 in 45 games. There should be playing time available at Wrigley Field next season, but he's done very little to claim a meaningful portion. Patrick Wisdom starts at third base Tuesday.
