Odorizzi (3-2) allowed four runs on seven hits and one walk across six innings in Tuesday's win over the Indians. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Odorizzi cruised into the sixth inning with just one run on his ledger but saw that diminish after a Cleveland rally, which ended with a two-run home run by Edwin Encarnacion, brought three more around. He was able to finish out the frame, however, and wound up with an impressive win over one of the best teams in baseball. Despite missing a couple of weeks due to injury, Odorizzi has picked up right where he left off and now owns a tidy 3.16 ERA to go along with a tremendous 0.89 WHIP through 37 innings pitched. He seems to be truly emerging as a front-line pitcher in 2017 and will look to keep it going Monday against the Angels.
