Odorizzi (2-2) allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four batters over six innings during Thursday's loss to Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old righty was outdone by Jason Vargas on Thursday. Odorizzi has now allowed two runs or fewer through each of his past five appearances -- just six total over 25 innings -- and sports a high-end 2.61 ERA and 0.81 WHIP for the season. While his 7.0 K/9 and 21.3 strikeout percentage aren't standout marks, Odorizzi is in a nice groove and appears to be kick-starting a breakout campaign. He lines up for a tough road matchup against Cleveland in his next trip to the hill.
