The rookie now has three hits in 20 major league at-bats in 2016, all of them homers. O'Brien blasted an Adam Morgan offering 412 feet in the fifth inning to plate Michael Bourn and Paul Goldschmidt, and then took reliever Elvis Araujo deep with a 403-foot solo shot in the seventh. The 25-year-old slugger launched 66 round-trippers over his last three minor league stops, so the power isn't a surprise by any means. However, O'Brien will need to demonstrate much more consistency in getting on base in order to stick with the major league club.
