O'Brien was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on Sunday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

O'Brien was designated for assignment by the Rangers on Saturday after getting off to a very sluggish start within their minor-league system this season. The Dodgers will immediately assign O'Brien to Triple-A Oklahoma City where he'll serve as organizational outfield depth moving forward. Jason Wheeler was DFA'd to open up the roster spot.
