Nova (elbow), who threw 42 pitches in an extended spring training game Monday, may begin a rehab assignment next week, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reports. Nova is scheduled to pitch in another extended spring training game Saturday, after which the Yankees may start his 30-day clock for a rehab assignment. While Nova is likely still a few weeks away from joining the team's rotation, Yankees manager Joe Girardi recently said that the right-hander may only require two or three rehab starts. Nova could thus be ready by early-to-mid June.
