Nova (12-6) tossed a complete game in Thursday against the Reds. He allowed one run on six hits and no walks while striking out four in the win.
EDGE Analysis
After not going the distance since 2013, Nova has now notched two complete-game victories over his last four starts. Since joining the Pirates at the beginning of June, the right-hander is 5-0 with a stellar 2.53 ERA and 0.93 WHIP in seven starts (46.1 innings). Uncharacteristically, Nova has also displayed unbelievable command, racking up a ridiculous 32:2 K:BB since being acquired from the Yankees. He'll look to keep things rolling when he takes the bump for his next start on Tuesday against the Phillies.
