Nova (1-3) surrendered four runs on eight hits over 6.2 innings in a loss at Fenway Park on Saturday. Nova didn't issue a walk after allowing at least two free passes in every start this season, but only struck out three Red Sox on the night. The 28-year-old has a horrendous 12:7 K/BB ratio in four appearances since returning from Tommy John surgery, but some hiccups were expected following a procedure that kept Nova out of the majors for over a year. The 6.2 innings pitched tied a season high, and Nova will continue to build endurance as he looks to regain his pre-injury form following the All-Star break.
