Kepler had to leave Monday's win over the Tigers in the eighth inning after being hit on the right foot by a pitch. All indications were that his removal was precautionary, so his absence from the lineup Tuesday could simply be due to Detroit starting left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez. Matt Wallner is in right field Tuesday.
