Norris was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday due to an undisclosed injury, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.

It's currently unclear why Norris is being sidelined, but information on that should come forth relatively soon. Norris had been excelling in the closer's role for the Angels while Cam Bedrosian was hurt, but there seemed to be a bullpen battle in the making when Bedrosian was activated and Huston Street (triceps) closing in on activation. This will make things somewhat easier, as Bedrosian now seems to be in line for save opportunities again. Mike Morin will come up from the minors to fill the vacancy in the bullpen for now, although the length of his stay will likely be dependent on the severity of Norris' injury. Things should become clearer once the team discloses what's bothering the veteran right-hander.
