Nolasco allowed two runs on five hits (two home runs) while walking none and striking out 10 over seven innings for a no-decision in Monday's 3-2 extra-innings loss to the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
While the season-high 10 strikeouts were nice, Nolasco has now surrendered 11 home runs on the season in his seven starts. Fourteen of the 19 runs he has allowed have come off long balls, and he hasn't allowed a round tripper in just one of his outings. The 34-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to 4.31 in the 103-pitch outing, and he should see better results in the future if he can keep the ball out of the air as much.
