Price isn't locked into a rotation spot this season, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Dodgers have plenty of depth throughout their roster, and their rotation is no exception. Price has been a starter in all but 10 of his 321 career major-league appearances, but he also hasn't pitched in over a year after opting out of last season. It's possible he opens the year in the bullpen to build up his arm strength before eventually moving into a rotation role. Price himself believes he'll be ready to throw 80 or 90 pitches by Opening Day, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, but he's also said he's willing to fill whatever role the Dodgers need him to fill.
