Nimmo will have his left knee checked out by team doctors in New York early next week, ESPN New York reports. Nimmo exited Friday's game at Double-A Binghamton early after stepping on first base while attempting to beat out an infield hit. The Double-A doctor indicated a belief that the injury isn't serious, but the team will take a cautious approach anyway and have him checked out by the Mets' team doctor as well.
