Nimmo, who should be ready to play Saturday after being sidelined a deep muscle bruise on his left thumb, was assigned by the Mets to their minor league camp Friday, ESPN New York reports. The move comes as little surprise, as it was only a matter time before it was made. Nimmo is projected to begin 2015 at Triple-A Las Vegas and has an outside shot to reach the majors before the end of the season.
