Nimmo went 2-for-3 with three walks and a run scored in Scottsdale's 10-7 win over Mesa in the Arizona Fall League on Tuesday, MiLB.com reports.
Nimmo's keen eye at the plate was on display again Tuesday, as he reached base safely in five of his six plate appearances, giving him a .458 OBP through five AFL games. The 21-year-old hit .278/.394/.426 with 10 homers and 14 steals in 127 games between High-A St. Lucie and Double-A Binghamton during the regular season, with his biggest strides coming against left-handed pitching. He figures to open 2015 back at Binghamton, but Mets vice president Paul DePodesta said last month that Nimmo could reach the majors at some point next season.
