Nimmo has been diagnosed with a sprained ACL in his left knee, but can resume baseball activities once the pain subsides, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Nimmo was checked out by two doctors regarding the issue, taking a special trip to New York to visit with the Mets' team doctor. It appears he's avoided a major injury, but he'll likely rest a while as he recovers. The young outfielder had swung the bat well at Double-A this season prior to the injury, batting .297 with two home runs and nine RBI in 34 games.
