Nick Punto hit his annual home run and walked three times against the Tigers on Thursday. The homer was the 18th of his career. If it holds up, it'd be the eighth season of his career with exactly one homer (his career high is four). Punto started at shortstop against right-hander Rick Porcello today to give Jed Lowrie a day off. He's mostly played second base against lefties, but given that he's outhitting Eric Sogard there, perhaps some additional at-bats could be coming his way. Of course, neither is ever going to me of much use in fantasy leagues, even AL-only leagues.
