Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports that Cedrick Bowers is "starting to catch the eyes of scouts" in the Venezuelan Winter League. Bowers hasn't appeared in the majors since 2010 and spent last season in independent ball, but Cafardo says he's been clocked at 91-93 mph in Venezuela. That should be enough for the left-handed reliever to net a minor league deal with someone.
