Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports that Alfredo Aceves is "very much available" via trade. Cafardo notes that the Red Sox "love Aceves's arm and stuff, but don't like the high maintenance," adding that Boston reportedly tried to include him in a potential deal for Dan Haren. Aceves is arbitration-eligible for the second time this winter and is due a raise from his 2012 salary of $1.2 million. He prefers to start but can be used in a variety of roles.
