Nicasio was coming off an 89-pitch, five-inning outing versus the Mets on Tuesday, which netted his fifth victory of the season. He surrendered a pinch-hit double to fellow pitcher Adam Wainwright to open the floodgates, and then yielded an RBI double to Matt Adams, and eventually, a two-run homer to the red-hot Brandon Moss.
