New York Mets third baseman David Wright could return from his back injury for next week's series against the Philadelphia Phillies, according to ESPN New York. Wright, who has been out since April 14, has played four rehab games with Class-A St. Lucie and will need a few more before returning to the major leagues. "It felt good to dive, seeing some pitches, having some good at-bats, having some terrible at-bats," Wright said. "But that's the way it goes. I can't beat myself up too much because it's been four months since I've had an at-bat. I was thinking about it [diving]. I want to get to where it's just a reaction. I want to think about baseball instead of thinking [about pain]. In your mind, you're thinking you should be in mid-season, you should be reacting well. At this point, I don't know what's realistic. Let's see how my body responds and then make a plan for the week. The last thing I want to do is rush this and not be ready."
