New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud is expected to be activated from the disabled list Friday after recovering from an elbow injury, according to ESPN New York. d'Arnaud has been progressing in his recovery since suffering the injury in a game against the Atlanta Braves in June, as he was able to catch seven innings while rehabbing at Double-A Binghamton on Monday. He said he is eagerly awaiting his activation and is grateful that his collision with catcher A.J. Pierzynski did not result in a more serious injury. "I thought it was going to be worse, honestly, when it happened," d'Arnaud said. "A.J.'s a big guy. When it happened, I felt like my whole arm -- my elbow, my everything -- when I lifted it up, I thought it was going to be dangling the opposite way. I'm actually happy it was this." d"Arnaud is scheduled to catch a full game at Binghamton on Tuesday.
