Nelson improved to 5-8 with the win Monday over Philadelphia. He threw five innings and allowed four runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Nelson has yet to go at least seven innings in back-to-back starts this season. Nelson induced nine ground balls but couldn't find strike three when he needed to. Nelson hasn't struck out more than five batters since June 8 and his ERA rose to 4.48.
