Manager Alex Cora said Wednesday that Schwarber (hamstring/groin) could begin a rehab assignment Thursday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Schwarber went through a full workout Tuesday, and he apparently felt good afterward since his return to game action is imminent. The 28-year-old suffered a minor setback last weekend due to tightness in his leg/groin, but he's back on track and remains hopeful that he'll be able to return from the 10-day IL in mid-to-late August.
