Nava (back strain) was placed on the 60-day DL on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Nava last played on Sept. 3, so this means the end of his 2017 season -- his final year before free agency. He hit .301/.393/.421 with four home runs in 214 plate appearances and was worth one win over a replacement player (according to FanGraphs). While his season didn't end in an ideal way, he performed well while on the field. It remains to be seen if he will be offered a big-league deal from a team this offseason or if he will have to settle for a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training.
