Nationals' prospect Tyler Moore will begin splitting time between left field and first base. Moore has exclusively played first base during his professional career, but the Nationals want to increase his versatility. The 25-year-old has slugged 31 homers in each of the past two seasons and is batting .260 with five homers and 11 RBI over his first 13 games with Triple-A Syracuse this year. He could potentially be an option at the major league level if Mike Morse fails to make progress with his lat injury.
