Nationals manager Matt Williams announced Monday that Tyler Clippard will be his primary eighth inning reliever. It's a little unusual to hear a manager announce their primary set-up man, but there you go. Clippard has been one of the game's best relievers in recent years and would be a natural alternative for the closer role if Rafael Soriano struggles or suffers an injury. Drew Storen appears to be third on the depth chart.
