Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi (shoulder) played catch on Wednesday and Thursday and might throw off a mound on Friday. He's progressing well since being placed on the injured list on Tuesday. The 32-year-old right-hander is recovering from right shoulder inflammation, which has kept him sidelined since Aug. 12.
