Moylan (elbow) signed a minor-league contract with the Braves on Friday, MLB.com's Mark Bowman reports. Moylan is about 11 months removed from Tommy John surgery, the second such operation during his career. The right-hander is angling for a return by midseason, but he'll likely have to first demonstrate that he's healthy in the minors before getting an opportunity to join the Braves, where he began his MLB career. Moylan, 36, posted an impressive 2.44 ERA over 232.1 innings during his prime years with the Braves from 2007 through 2010, but the odds seem to be stacked against him reemerging as anything more than a replacement-level arm in middle relief.
