The Diamondbacks optioned Fairchild to Triple-A Reno on Thursday.

Along with Fairchild, the Diamondbacks optioned pitchers Ryan Weiss and Humberto Mejia to Reno in their latest round of roster cuts. Fairchild made his big-league debut in 2021, appearing in 12 games for Arizona and going 2-for-15 with two RBI.
