A rotator cuff strain sidelined Motte since July, but he was able to convince the Rockies on Wednesday that he was ready to return by firing a successful simulated game. He'll add depth and experience to a bullpen that sorely needs it. However, with Adam Ottavino entrenched as the closer, Motte's unlikely to see many save chances down the stretch.
