Moss is out of the lineup Saturday against the Tigers. An RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning Friday broke an 0-for-12 stretch for Moss to begin the season. The 31-year-old posted a .264/.366/.425 batting line against lefties last season but is just a .246/.322/.397 career hitter against left-handed pitching, and with David Price on the bump for Detroit, manager Terry Francona will slot Jerry Sands in as his right fielder.
