Morrison will serve as the Rays' starter at first base in Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Roger Mooney of The Tampa Tribune reports. He'll bat second in the order.
EDGE Analysis
The Rays released veteran James Loney on Sunday, so the team appears set to proceed with a Morrison and Steve Pearce platoon at first base to enter the season. By virtue of being the left-handed bat, Morrison should see the larger portion of at-bats in the timeshare.
