Morrison, who didn't hit his first round-tripper of the season until May 18, has now gone deep seven times in the subsequent 28 games following a 2-for-4 performance Saturday that included a solo homer.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran's historically bad start to the season set a plethora of personal lows for him, not the least of which was a complete absence of power during the season's first six weeks. He's turned it on since then, and already has five homers in the current month. His solo blast Saturday was his first since June 5, and facilitated his third RBI over the last four contests. While he's still scuffling with a mediocre .235 average and .324 OBP, Morrison's .516 slugging percentage in June is his best monthly figure in that category this season.
