Morrison went 2-for-3 with a run scored in Friday's 5-1 spring victory over the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Acquired from the Mariners in a November three-team trade, the 28-year-old now has hit safely in three straight games. He's hitting .304 over 23 at-bats this spring, and has the potential to offer the Rays some pop from the left side of the plate in 2016. Morrison has four double-digit home run seasons in the last five, and his 17 homers in 2015 represented the second-highest total of his career. With his ability to play first base and serve as designated hitter, Morrison is projected to be an important cog of the Tampa offense in 2016.
