Moreland (flu) did some light work Friday and is expected to take batting practice Saturday, Nick Cafardo of The Boston Globe reports.

Moreland had been scratched from a game earlier this week because of the flu that's been running through Boston's clubhouse. It looks like he'll be ready for Monday's season opener against the Pirates. If healthy, Moreland should be in the starting lineup Monday as Pittsburgh will be throwing right-hander Gerrit Cole.
